Network Topology

Computer Network Topology:

Physical Layout of systems connected in the network are called computer network topology.

Ex- BUS Topology, Ring Topology, Mesh Topology, Star Topology etc.

Bus Topology:  

In Bus topology all devices are connected to a single cable or backbone. It supports half duplex communication. A break at any point destroy the entire network.

Ring Topology:

In Ring topology each devices connected with it's neighbour by creating a loop or forming a loop.

Failure of the single device and break a cable at any point in the network the total will be stop communicating.

Mesh Topology:

In mesh topology each devices are connected to all other devices.

Star Topology:

The most common used topology is star topology. It consist of devices which can be either switch or Hub. 

The devices connected to the various ports or the centralised port.
